Boost Hospitality is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist for one of its clients in Naxos, Greece.

Our clients is a small property with 17 luxurious rooms offering personalized service to its guests, and is looking for an experienced professional who can lead the front office and be the face of the property.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role in Naxos, and the Front Desk Receptionist will be responsible for daily receptionist duties, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining effective communication with guests and the rest of the team.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Welcoming guests and performing the necessary check in & check out tasks. Establish a good rapport with guests and consistently provide high quality service.
  • Managing guest communications (incoming calls, emails, messages etc) and special queries.
  • Assist in maximising room revenue through the conversion of telephone calls & emails into sales and identifying sales opportunities
  • Managing payments and issuing invoices and receipts as necessary.
  • Maintain an accurate record of all reservations, payments, and reservations, following the correct procedures.
  • General administration duties, including correspondence, emails, filing and to ensure the smooth running of the reception area.
  • Dealing with guest complaints in an effective and courteous manner. Good problem solving skills and follow up for effective service recovery.
  • To liaise with housekeeping as to the daily cleaning schedule and allocation of rooms.
  • Communicate effectively with the rest of the team about special needs of guests, complaints, and discrepancies.
  • Follow and adhere to the Cash, Key and Controls policies established.
  • Maintain an accurate record of the shift cash register.
  • To assist in keeping the hotel reception and public areas clean and tidy; extra attention to those visible to guests. The condition of the reception & public areas is a reflection of your work ethos.
  • Assist guests in organising other leisure activities (car rental, restaurants, yatchs etc)

Competences & Skills

  • 3 years previous experience
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong communication skills and excellent verbal and written etiquette.
  • Languages: Greek – Fluency in English (written and verbal) – additional language is a plus
  • Passionate approach to customer service, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in difficult situations.
  • Proficiency in using computers and hotel management software (Hotelizer, Webhotelier, OTAs)
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
