For one of our clients in Naxos, Greece, we are seeking a Front Desk Manager – Assistant Hotel Manager.

Our client is a small property with 17 luxurious rooms offering personalized service to its guests, and is looking for an experienced professional who can be the face of the property and lead the front office of the property.

 

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role in Naxos from Mid May to Mid October.

This role is centered around Reception Manager duties, combined with responsibilities as Assistant Manager, supervising and communicating effectively with the rest for the team , ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and an exceptional guest experience.

There is potential for the right candidate to take on a part-time winter role focused on reservations.

The successful candidate will help oversee operations at its sister property with Villas, handling check-ins and organizing the cleaning schedule.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Reception duties: Manage front desk operations efficiently, ensuring high quality guest interactions.
  • Guest complaints: Address and resolve guest complaints courteously, applying good problem-solving skills and follow-up for effective service recovery.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise the team actively, ensuring smooth operations across the property.
  • Facility inspections: Inspect facilities regularly and report maintenance needs to the owner.
  • Inventory management: Assist with ordering food, beverages, consumables, and other supplies as required.
  • Revenue maximization: Assist in boosting room revenue by converting phone calls and emails into bookings, identifying sales opportunities.

 

Qualifications / Skills / Values

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a hotel environment, with supervisory experience in managing small teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or equivalent in Hospitality or a related field is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using computers and Hotel Management Software (Hotelizer, Webhotelier and OTAs)
  • Languages: Greek – Fluency in English (written and verbal) – additional language is a plus
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong passion for customer service, positive attitude, and excellent work ethic
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized under pressure.
  • Creative thinker with effective problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, accountability, and integrity.
  • Driver’s License
